Southern Road to Freedom Choir has chosen the medium of song to tell the story of the black experience in Natchez. The choir tells the story of the area’s black residents, starting with the struggle of slavery but including the triumph of ordinary people who were able to do extraordinary things during and after the Civil War and into the 20th century.

This is a “Don’t miss” experience in a beautiful and historic African-American church.

We welcome you to Hope Farm for a special evening of learning and celebration. Hope Farm is one of the earliest and most significant homes in Natchez, built approximately 1789 for the Spanish Territorial Governor Carlos de Grand Pre.

The new owners, Laine and Kevin Berry, are now undertaking a meticulous restoration of Hope Farm. They invite you to join them for a tour of the project as it is now, a glimpse back over 235 years of building history, and a celebration of the bright future that Hope Farm has ahead of it!

Event will include a tour of the restoration in progress, so good shoes and clothes appropriate to a building site are suggested. Wine and cheese on the grounds to follow.
